Team Tea Blackout is our response to the major power cut which happened 28.04.2025 on the Iberian Peninsular during an intense day of tea harvest. We already had picked  lot of leaves, therefore we took the challenge to produce a special batch of steamed green tea completely without electricity. After steaming on our usual gas stoves we started a team session rolling all the leaves in many small batches by hand. The drying and forming the leaves happened in diverse woks and pans on the gas stoves and the final drying we handed over to the sun. We are surprised by the good result and happy that we finally did an sun drying experiment, which adds an own twist to the tea.
