Characteristics

At the beginning of the 16th century, following the discovery of the sea route to India, the influence of the Orient was so profound for the Portuguese that they changed the compass rose to indicate east instead of north. Around this time, they also brought the first camellias to Portugal, calling them “roses of the Orient.”

Rosa do Oriente is our only pan-fired green tea. It is made from the very first leaves of our seed plants. This tea offers generous green flavours with a floral touch. Its beautiful, colourful leaves allow for multiple infusions.

We recommend up to 3-4 infusions.
