Characteristics

The Grey Matcha Bowl, with a wavy, grey glaze and with white and dark grey spots on the surface, represents the Wabi aesthetics of the tea ceremony. For the preparation of Matcha (tea powder from the spring harvest) a bamboo whisk is also required (chasen) to beat the tea, to create a thin foam on its surface.
