Chá Camélia was born from a dream back in 2011, with the planting of the first 200 Camellia Sinensis trees. There are now just over 12,000 trees planted in Fornelo, where organic farming within a biodynamic system are central to everything we do.

Inspired by ancient Asian tea cultures, from Japan in particular, we produce high quality green tea by hand, which begins with manual leaf picking.

In addition to our green teas and the flowers from our tea plants, we blend green teas from Japan with natural Portuguese ingredients and also have included a white tea from the São Miguel Agrarian Agricultural Service (Azores/Portugal) in our programme. In this tasting we go on a journey through the flavours of Portugal.
